Obituary of Alphonse W. Forbeck

Alphonse W. Forbeck A mass of Christian Burial for Alphonse W. Forbeck of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO. Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews. Mr. Forbeck, 92, passed away Wednesday evening, November 17, 2010 at the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, MO. Born September 22, 1918 in Old Monroe, MO he was the son of Anton and Mary Eggering Forbeck. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents: Anton and Mary Forbeck and a brother, Albert Forbeck. Survivors include one brother, Robert Forbeck and his wife, Leona, of Old Monroe; two sisters: Helen Schneider of St. Charles, MO and Catherine Hakenwerth of Wentzville, MO; twelve nieces and nephews; several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe.
