Obituary of Marjorie Dean Gallup

Marjorie Dean Gallup Funeral services for Marjorie Dean Gallup of Winfield, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the Winfield First Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Winfield Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Lonnie Gallup, Rick Gallup, Keith Gallup, Joe Gallup, Tom Collier and John Dixon, Sr. Mrs. Gallup, 89, passed away Saturday morning, August 21, 2010 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born April 5, 1921 in Winfield, she was the daughter of Vollie Jones and Eva Pearl Parsons Bell. She was a 1939 graduate of Winfield High School. She was united in marriage on June 28, 1941 in Farmington, MO to William Edward "Bill" Gallup. This union was blessed with three sons: Lonnie, Rick and Keith. She was employed for many years at Dove Equipment in Winfield. Mrs. Gallup was a member of the Makin Memorial United Methodist Church in Winfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vollie and Eva Bell; one sister, Dorothy Jameson; one brother, Wilbert Bell; and her beloved husband of 59 years, William "Bill" Gallup, who died November 13, 2000. Survivors include her three sons: Lonnie Gallup and his wife, JoAnn, of Cleveland, OH, Rick Gallup and his wife, Joni, of High Ridge, MO, and Keith Gallup and his wife, Michelle, of Winfield; and four grandchildren: Robyn Jenson of Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Ross Gallup and his wife, Mary, of Stanford, CT, Becky Collier and her husband, Tom, of Winfield, and Joseph Gallup of Winfield; and three great-grandchildren: Turner Collier, Taylee Collier and Cameron Gallup. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Ruth Bell, of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
