Geraldine McClary Graveside Services for Geraldine McClary of Troy, MO, formerly of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, MO. Marvin Rice, high priest of Twin Rivers Community of Christ Church in O'Fallon, MO, will officiate Geraldine, 94, passed away Thursday evening, August 5, 2010 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy, MO. Born January 13, 1916 in Pike County, MO, she was the daughter of Claude and Opal Raufer Stewart. She was a 1934 graduate of Vandalia High School. She was united in marriage on June 28, 1939 in Huntsville, MO to Clyde Garland McClary. She worked for many years as a cook for the Winfield School District, retiring in 1960. She was a member of the Twin Rivers Community of Christ Church in O'Fallon, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Opal Stewart; one sister, Dorothy Reed; one brother, Elmer Stewart; and her beloved husband of 49 years, Clyde McClary. Survivors include one step-son, Donald McClary, Sr. of Hannibal, MO; two nephews: Bill Reed and his wife, Judith, of Crestwood, KY, and Dennis Reed and his wife, Lucy, of Florissant, MO; one niece, Jana Sykes and her husband, Mike, of Alabama; three great-nieces: Amanda Reed of Columbia, SC, Angie Reed of Germany, and Barbara Cazzola Faltiba of Vicenca, Italy; one great-nephew, Andrew Reed, of San Antonio, TX several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.
