Obituary of Arthur Joseph Bradley

Arthur Joseph Bradley Funeral services for Arthur Joseph Bradley of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of Elsberry Assembly of God, will officiate with burial in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be David Bradley, Ryan Rockwell, Jackie Teel, Terry Collins, Bobby Mahurin, Ron Huggins, Kevin Hunter and Mike Baker. Mr. Bradley, 61, passed away late Tuesday evening, March 23, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Born April 20, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Arthur Clyde and Gertrude Dorothy Marshall Bradley. He was a graduate of St. Francis High School in St. Louis, MO. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy from April 21, 1969 until being honorably discharged on April 20, 1971. He worked for many years as a plumbing and electrical contractor with his own company, Art Bradley Plumbing. He most recently worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts in Troy, MO. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Bradley and one infant son, John Arthur Bradley. Survivors include his father, Arthur C. Bradley of St. Louis, MO; one son, David Bradley and his wife, Sara, of Maplewood, MO; one daughter, Karen Gibson and her husband, Dave, of Ballwin, MO; and three grandchildren: Jacob Gibson, Madeline Gibson and Abigail Bradley. He also leaves two brothers: Don Bradley and his wife, Birdie, of St. Louis and Ronald Bradley and his wife, Pam, of Elsberry; his special friend, Rose Cope of Troy, MO, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
