Obituary of John Michael Zugmaier, IV

Mr. John Michael Zugmaier IV, 54, of Winfield, MO passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 20, 2023 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born April 16, 1969 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of John Michael Zugmaier III and Mary Catherine Jarzewiak. John worked as a line worker and operator at Bodine for over 21 years. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, golfing when he found time, and sports-especially the St. Louis Cardinals. John was a self-proclaimed bbq grill master and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, John Zugmaier III; stepfather, Dr. Benjamin Guzdial; brother-in-law, Ronald Lovercheck; and stepson, Brian Garrett. Survivors include two sons: John Michael Zugmaier V and his wife, Brittany, of Winfield; and Stephen Zugmaier and his girlfriend, Kasie, of Foley, MO; step-daughter, Jessica Rickard and her husband, Cory, of Troy, MO; and five grandchildren: Peyton, Sadie, Amelia, Ava and Katelyn. John also leaves his mother, Cathy Guzdial of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Andrew Zugmaier of Wentzville, MO; three sisters: Janet Lovercheck of Wentzville, Theresa Aubuchon and her husband, Terry, of Wentzville and Andrea Zugmaier of Fenton, MO; and his loving family he was an uncle and great-uncle to. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Babylon Bar and Grill (in the basement) in Troy, MO.
