Obituary of Pearl Victoria Lagemann

A Mass of Christian Burial for Pearl Victoria Lagemann of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. Fr. Charles Tichacek, church pastor, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be John Koch, Chris Koch, Travis Tangman, Eric Lovelace, Roy Whitehead and Melissa Davison. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Heitman, Jimmy Jeans, Ron Hardy, James Tangman, Rob Lovelace, and Kevin Whitehead. Pearl, 93, passed away Thursday morning, June 29, 2023, at her daughter’s home near Elsberry. Born April 13, 1930 in Center, MO, she was the daughter of Vernon William and Edith Luckett Holcomb. Pearl was a graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on September 9, 1950 in Elsberry to Virgil John Lagemann. This union was blessed with seven daughters: Margie, Marilyn, Rebecca, Patricia, Norma, Janet and Mary. Pearl was a loving homemaker. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, DNC Club and Jessie Black Club. Pearl was also a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Edith Holcomb; two sisters: Ruth Norvel and Helen Symmonds; two brothers: James Holcomb and Russell Holcomb; one son-in-law, Chester Koch; and her beloved husband of 65 years, John Lagemann, who died on February 23, 2016. Survivors include seven daughters: Margie Koch of Elsberry, Marilyn Hardy and her husband, Ron, of Venice Beach, FL, Rebecca Tangman and her husband, James, of Hattiesburg, MS, Patricia Davison of Weldon Spring, MO, Norma Lauer of St. Peters, MO, Janet Lovelace and her husband, Rob, of Elsberry and Mary Whitehead and her husband, Kevin, of Elsberry; sixteen grandchildren: John Koch and his wife, Tammy, Chris Koch, Jennifer Jones and her husband, Steve, Sarah Rhorer and her husband, Justin, Anna Rock, James Tangman and his companion, Casey Randall, Nicholaus Tangman and his companion, Stephanie, Travis Tangman and his wife, Jaimie, Melissa Davison, Angela Lauer, Shawn Lauer, Eric Lovelace and his fiancé, Miranda Munoz, Michael Lovelace, Kimberly Sifuentes and her husband, Jon, Kathryn Whitehead and Roy Whitehead and his wife, Cheyenne; and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Pearl also leaves many other relatives, and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to Joseph R.
