Obituary of Donald Ray Walker

A Memorial Open House for Donald Ray Walker, Sr. of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the home of Kathleen Bromwich. Mr. Walker, 74, passed away Saturday evening, May 3, 2014 at the Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry, MO. Born August 13, 1939 in Holcomb, MO, he was the son of Leonard and Eula Huddleston Walker. He was united in marriage on April 27, 1957 in St. Louis, MO to Anna Jean Brown. This union was blessed with four children: Sharon, Kathleen, Patricia and Donald, Jr. He was the owner and machinist at Specialty Fab, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Jennings, MO Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Eula Walker; one daughter, Patricia Nunn; and one brother, Jimmy Walker. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Anna Walker of Winfield; two daughters: Sharon Payne and her husband, Jim, of St. Louis, MO and Kathleen Bromwich and her husband, Allen, also of Winfield; one son, Donald R. Walker, Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Winfield; ten grandchildren: Cassandra, Patrick, Amanda, Kathryn, Melissa, Rebecca, Luke, Michael, Christopher and Leigh; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves one son-in-law, Kevin Nunn of Wentzville, MO; other relatives and many friends.
