Obituary of Mary Wanetta Parker

Funeral Services for Mary Wanetta Parker of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Preston Blackwell and Donnie Kinsler, will officiate with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Jessie Hunter, Curt Hunter, Billy Joe Hunter, A.J. Hunter, K.J. Grimmett and Timmy Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Kinsler, Rod McPike and John Hawley. Mary passed away Monday evening, November 21, 2016 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO. She had reached the age of 77. Born July 23, 1939 in Silex, MO, she was the daughter of MacAfee and Lucille Hubbard Stillwell. She was united in marriage on August 13, 1955 to Ezara Lee Hunter. She was a mother and homemaker. She was married again on September 30, 2000 in Troy to James Garrett “Gary” Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents, MacAfee and Lucille Stillwell: two sons: Charles William Hunter on June 14, 1993 and Richard Lee “Rick” Hunter, Sr. on June 13, 2015; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Preston on January 22, 2016; one brother, Wayne Stillwell on September 12, 2015; and her husband, Gary Parker, who died February 3, 2004; and her first husband, Lee Hunter. Survivors include nine children: LeRoy Hunter and his wife, Tina, of Winfield, MO, Ruby Irving and her boyfriend, Howard, of Elsberry, John Hunter of Rolla, MO, Bonnie Perkins and her boyfriend, Rod, of Elsberry, Curt Hunter of Elsberry, Allen Hunter and his wife, Curtissa, of Elsberry, Jessie Hunter and his girlfriend, Dorothy, of Elsberry, Phyllis Wyatt and her husband, Robert, of Elsberry, Billy Joe Hunter and his girlfriend, Janice, of Elsberry; forty grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary also leaves one brother, William “Bill” Gunn and his wife, Helen, of Elsberry; two sisters: Susie Heutel of Wentzville, MO and Wanda Brown of O’Fallon, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
