Obituary of Robert Eugene Jones, Jr.

Funeral Services for Robert Eugene Jones, Jr. of Mesquite, TX will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Fr. Richard Rath, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe O’Mara, John Jones and Steve Jones. Mr. Jones, Jr., 61, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at his home. Born January 21, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Robert Eugene and Mary Catherine Elmer Jones, Sr. Bobby was a 1972 graduate of Winfield High School and went on to attend Washington University. He was a member of the United States Air Force ROTC. Bobby was employed for a number of years as an over the road truck driver for Allied Systems. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Jones, Sr. and one sister, Debbie Jones. Survivors include his mother, Mary Elmer Jones of Hazelwood, MO; one sister, Cathy O’Mara and her husband, Joe, of Overland, MO; and three brothers: Steve Jones of St. Louis, John Jones of Los Angeles, CA and Jeff Jones of St. Louis. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
