Obituary of William Neal Scott

Funeral Services for William N. Scott of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Bishop Toony, Bishop of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dardenne Prairie Ward, will officiate with burial in Bethany Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Beau Broyles, Bryce Broyles, Scot Hollrah, John Niemiller, John Meyer and Tony Vargo. Mr. Scott, 76, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2016 at his home. Born January 2, 1940 in Lutesville, MO, he was the son of Paul Ace and Ethel Lewis Scott. William served his country in the United States Navy from January 15, 1957 until he was honorably discharged on December 7, 1960 as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class. He was united in marriage on June 17, 1961 in Sacramento, CA to Jo Ann Goldie Leman. Their home was blessed with two children: Todd Mathew and Tommy Rufe. He was employed as a Machine Repairman for Boeing, retiring in October, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ethel Scott; one infant brother; two sisters: one as an infant, and Pauline Prince, formerly of Winfield. Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Jo Ann Scott of Winfield; two sons: Todd Scott and his wife, Joanie, of Houston, MO and Tom Broyles and his wife, Julie Ann of St. Charles, MO; and two grandsons: Beau Julian Broyles and Bryce Jaden Broyles. William also leaves two brothers: Dale Scott and his wife, Ruthie, and Carl Dean Fry and his wife, Rita, all of Poplar Bluff, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
