Obituary of Leola Genevieve Keeteman

Funeral services for Leola Genevieve Keeteman of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe. Rev. Michael Kasovich, church pastor, will officiate with burial in St. Paul UCC Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Chad Keeteman, Kent Turnbull, Jack Allen, Jerrad Freymuth, Jeff Hampton and Michael Bryant; and honorary pallbearers: Jacob Allen, Angela Turnbull, Meloney Allen, Lori Freymuth, Lauren Turnbull, Crystal Keeteman, Emma Hampton, Madison Moore, Joseph Allen, Lynette Hampton, Mandi Bryant, Katie Dreyer, Carly Hampton, Angie Freymuth, Shiloh Allen, Lexi Freymuth, Gabriel Bryant, Elijah Bryant, Gavin Freymuth, Owen Keeteman, Dustin Dove and Olivia Dove. Mrs. Keeteman, 87, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2013 at her home near Old Monroe. Born September 24, 1925 in O'Fallon, MO, she was the daughter of Oliver J. and Naomi L. Leffeler Bowman. She was united in marriage on January 1, 1944 in Rock Hill Village, MO to Wallace Henry Keeteman. This union was blessed with three children: Wallace Wayne, Randell Dean and Patricia Lee. She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Naomi Bowman; one brother, Oliver J. Bowman, Jr.; two sisters: Jean Bowman and Joan Leiling; and her beloved husband of 53 years, Wallace H. Keeteman who died January 26, 2007. Survivors include her sons: Wayne Keeteman and his wife, Dorothy, of Old Monroe, and Randy Keeteman and his wife, Glenda, of Winfield; her daughter, Patti L. Freymuth and her husband, Rick, of Foristell, MO; a special niece, Sheila Dove and her husband, Dennis, of Josephville, MO; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. She also leaves several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
