Obituary of Mildred Elizabeth Schellert

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mildred Elizabeth Schellert of Winfield, MO, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church in Old Monroe, MO. Fr. Phil Krahman, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Mark Schellert, Brad Schellert, Ryan Schellert, Jeremy Maher, Matthew Schellert, Clark Gafke, Becky Maher, Jeni Willis and Marilynn Gafke. Mrs. Schellert, 89, passed away Sunday night, February 17, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Born December 7, 1923 in Flint Hill, MO, she was the daughter of Louis and Ida Lauber Schlueter. She was united in marriage on October 19, 1943 in Flint Hill to Frank Joseph Schellert. This union was blessed with four children: Frank Jr., Gary, David and Susan. She worked for many years as a housekeeper for Winfield Manor. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church where she was also a member of the Ladies Sodality. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ida Schlueter; one sister, Loretta Boehle; and her beloved husband of 50 years, Frank Schellert on March 15, 1994. Survivors include three sons: Frank Schellert, Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Chesterfield, Gary Schellert and his wife, Joan, of Wentzville, MO and David Schellert and his wife, Cindy, of Weldon Springs, MO; one daughter, Susan Maher and her husband, Kevin, of O'Fallon, MO; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters: Glendola Kampmann and Dolores Howdeshell and her husband, Robert "Bob", all of Wentzville; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Boehle, also of Wentzville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield and again from 1000 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church.
