Obituary of Beverly Arlene Robinson

Funeral Services for Beverly Arlene Robinson of Elsberry, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Elsberry First Christian Church. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandson, Cale Mackey, and nephews, Les Lonsberry, Ronnie Robinson, Nick Robinson, Adam Robinson, Alex Robinson, Dustin Robinson and Mel Norton. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Crenshaw, Chris Steen, Don Slaughter, Darren Evans, Kelly Skaggs, Michael Skaggs and Addric DeRoy. Beverly, 90, passed away early Monday morning, March 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by peace and love. Born September 11, 1933 in Moline, IL she was the daughter of Nicklos Frank and Emma Elzira Carothers Gevock. Beverly was united in marriage on December 2, 1950 in Elsberry to Ernest Eugene “Gene” Robinson. This union was blessed with two children: James and Peggy. Beverly had many jobs over the years, including: Glove Factory, Parts Exchange, Angelica Clothing, Rovina’s, Elsberry Health Care Center, Whitehead’s and Big D’s. She was a member of DOM Club and Ladies Card Club with Linda Hurley, Regina Pruitt, Judy Henry and Helen Martin. Beverly was a longtime member of the Elsberry First Christian Church where she served as Deacon. Beverly enjoyed life to its fullest, as she enjoyed her family and friends, whether playing games, cards, laughing, playing jokes and of course cooking, she always made sure she made everyone feel special. She will be remembered by all for her contagious laugh and smile; while always humming or telling jokes. She loved her family with all her heart and each of them meant the world to her. She will be sorely missed by all that loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents: Nick and Elzira Gevok; two sisters: Delores Robinson, who passed on November 18, 1993 and Bernadette Gevock, who died as an infant; her father & mother-in-law, Jay & Mildred Robinson, brothers-in-law, Curt Robinson & Gene Lonsberry, and her beloved husband of 59 years, Gene Robinson, who died on February 11, 2010. Survivors include her children: Peggy Talbot and her husband, Mike, of Elsberry and James Robinson and his husband, John Briggs, of Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter, Corey Trevino and her husband, Abel; and one great-grandson, Cale Mackey, all of Elsberry. Beverly also leaves her sister-in-law, Florence Edna Lonsberry of Elsberry; her nieces and nephews: Laura Evans, Dottie Crenshaw and her fiancé, Mel Norton, Ronnie Robinson and his wife, Judy, all of Elsberry, Nick Robinson and his wife, Becky, of Glen Carbon, IL, Les Lonsberry and his wife, Debbie and Annette Giardina and her husband, Joe; very special friend, Maureen McKeever, all of Elsberry, several great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and many, many wonderful friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Elsberry First Christian Church.
