Obituary of Alice Marion Timm
Visitation for Alice Marion Timm of Old Monroe, MO will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Christ Alone Lutheran Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO. Pastor James Witt will officiate. Visitation will again be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, MN. Pastor Steve Waldschmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Zumbrota Cemetery in Zumbrota, MN. Serving as pallbearers will be Albin Timm III, Jacob Timm, Cory Timm, Philip Heydmann, Molly Torkelson, Nikki Poetting, Bruce Heydmann and Dennis Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be Asher Timm, Declan Timm, Beau Timm, Addisyn Timm, Maverick Timm, Eleanor Timm, Emerson Timm, Ella Heydmann, Hunter Heydmann, Tatiana Torkelson, Cheyana Torkelson, Ava Torkelson, Bill Colbert, Lyn Luck and Ron Oakley.
Alice, 93, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 7, 2026 at her home, surrounded by family, in Old Monroe, MO. Born July 3, 1933 in Mazeppa, MN, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna Leiter Poncelet. Alice was united in marriage on April 17, 1950 in Mazeppa, MN to Albin Alfred “Bud” Timm. This union was blessed with five children: Jerry, Albin, Jr., Judy, Cherie and Vickie.
Bud and Alice farmed from 1962 until retiring in 1982. Over the years, Alice had many other jobs including: working as a waitress, cabinet manufacturing, Waters-Connelly, and IBM. Alice was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, MN, and attended Christ Alone Lutheran Church in Dardenne Prairie, MO.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Anna Poncelet; two brothers: Arnold and John Poncelet; three half-brothers: Chester, William and Robert Smith; one half-sister, Eva Smith; one daughter, Judy Timm; two daughters-in-law: Lori Timm and Patti Timm; one grandson, Adam Timm; one great-grandson, Lincoln Timm; and her beloved husband of 75 years, Bud Timm, who died on April 17, 2025.
Survivors include their children: Jerry Timm, Albin, Jr. and his wife, Debra, Cherie Heydmann and her husband, Bruce, and Vickie Timm and her significant other, Dennis Hines; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Alice also leaves one half-sister, Arlene Sperry of Owatonna, MN; two half-sisters-in-law: Betty Smith of Faribault, MN and Charlotte Smith of Red Wing, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
