Obituary of Brandon Michael Reed Harrison

Funeral Services for Brandon “Bern” Michael Reed Harrison of Elsberry, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry. Rev. Stephen McLane, church pastor, will officiate with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Harrison, Michael Moll, Daniel Reed, Jon Sifuentes, Jordan Harrison and Christopher Gamblin. Honorary pallbearers will be Matilyn Harrison, Alicia Harrison, Kyli Harrison, Indie Harrison, Blake Haven and Aaliyah Weicht. Brandon, 37, was born on September 21, 1988 in Troy, MO, the son of Glenn Owen Reed and Rachel Lynne Harrison. He passed away early Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at his home. Brandon was a lifelong resident of Elsberry and a “local legend” in his circle of acquaintances. Bern enjoyed football, and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. He liked to participate in fantasy football. Bern collected sports cards and hot wheels. He loved music, especially Slipknot being his favorite. Bern was very generous, thoughtful and caring of others. He had a wild and crazy sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Bern loved his community and socializing with Elsberry residents. Mostly, he loved very deeply and took great pride in his family. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Harrison; grandfather, Robert Reed; and aunt, Deanna Haven. Survivors include his parents: Rachel Harrison and Glenn Reed, both of Elsberry; his grandfather, Bob Harrison, of Elsberry; two sisters: Katie Lynn Steinman and her husband, Bill, of Carlinville, IL and Brittany Anne Harrsch and her husband, Brian, of Mt. Vernon, WA; and his beloved dog and friend, Sarge. Brandon also leaves his aunt, Barbara Jean Harrison of Elsberry; uncle, Matt Harrison and his wife, Emily, of Elsberry; two nephews: Lincoln and Sterling; two nieces, Vivian and Isla; other relatives and a community of friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at New Hope Baptist Church.
