I was deeply sorry to hear how difficult the last few months have been and her passing. John and Jane have remained so close to me even after Ruby's (John's sister) death. I'm still the Old Uncle to all of you! I'll never forget how good they were to Ruby and I as she became sick and incapacitated. When she came home from the hospital and was at home in hospice, they came to help me and stayed almost 2 weeks. Typical of Jane, she cleaned all my kitchen cupboards for me. They stayed for almost 2 weeks until Jane as homesick and wanted to go back to her family. We had joyous times together ever since I married into the family. Wonderful family gatherings throughout the years. My thoughts and wonderful memories are with all of your family during this distressing time. You were blessed with having wonderful parents, which is not often true in so many contemporary families now. I always want to still be considered as "Uncle Lee" to all of you. Give a hug to my Brother-in-law and a kiss in the air to sweet Jane.

Aunt Jane was such a wonderful person. The comment about her being the most selfless person is absolutely correct. I have so many memories of Jane being such a caring and thoughtful person. She was always so welcoming and helpful when our family would come into town. She would take care of my brother and me during the day so we could play with our cousins. She even hosted a HS graduation party for me in her backyard since they would not be able to attend overseas. She would do so much work to make sure the meals were planned for the gatherings and her and John would work hard to have the farm looking great when we arrived. A picture attached is from one of those many gatherings. My son Riley is on her lap as his grandma had already passed and was not there, she made sure my kids felt the love from the family. My last visit with Jane was Mother's Day weekend in 2024 pictured below. Karl and I had the opportunity to have some time with her before we left since she was unable to join the gathering at the farm. We had some good laughs as we talked about the past. She told us that the hardest thing for her was not being able to help her kids and grandkids anymore. This was typical Jane, only concern was that she could not help others and didn't want to be a burden. My Aunt Jane was the most selfless person I have ever known.
Our condolences for my Uncle John and the entire family.

I knew Jane through her son, my in-law, Carey. Jane (and John) set the finest example for all grandparents. My family is lucky to have had Jane in our life and her legacy will always be present as I strive to follow her example.
