Obituary of Tonia Louise Cooper

Memorial Services for Tonia Louise Cooper of O’Fallon, MO will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Laura Taylor, pastor of Elsberry United Methodist Church, will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Elsberry City Cemetery at a later date. Tonia, 49, was born on March 7, 1976 in Louisiana, MO, the daughter of Harry Cooper and Alma Louise Richards. She passed away Tuesday night, January 27, 2026 at Lakeview Post Acute in Florissant, MO. Tonia was a graduate of Fort Zumwalt High School. Tonia was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Cooper and Alma Louise Richards; and her son, Dustin Teasley. Survivors include her children: Cheyenne Cooper and Cayden Cooper, both of O’Fallon; and one grandson, Jayden Cooper. Tonia also leaves one brother, Jeff Cooper of Jefferson County, Missouri; four sisters: Tammie Taubig of Elsberry, Keli Hargrove of Oklahoma, Nicole Burnett of Elsberry and Tina Marie Woodring of Illinois; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to the Tonia Cooper Special Needs Trust (for the care of her children) in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
