Obituary of Amy Arlene Gifford

Funeral Services for Amy Arlene Gifford of Winfield, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev Fielding Poe will officiate with burial in New Salem Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Schulte, Kyle Schulte, Alex Schulte, Christopher Walcott, Trevor Walcott, Cody Gifford and Drew Keay. Amy, 55, passed away Thursday evening, January 29, 2026 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, MO, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born May 28, 1970 in Troy, MO, she was the daughter of James LeRoy and Rita Faye Tippit Gifford. Amy was a graduate of Winfield High School. She worked as the Floral Department Manager for Schnucks in O’Fallon, MO. Amy was preceded in death by her father, James Gifford; son, Jeffery “JJ” Russell; granddaughter Kaydence Hilborn; brother, James David Gifford; paternal grandparents: Arlene and George Gifford; and maternal grandparents: Mildred and Paxton Colbert. Survivors include five daughters: Jaime Russell of Winfield, Jennifer Russell and her fiancé, Drew Keay of St. Peters, Ashley Pyle of Winfield, Aarin Pyle of Elsberry, and Katie Pyle of Winfield; and many beloved grandchildren. Amy also leaves her mother, Rita Gifford of Winfield; two sisters: Rhonda Schulte and her husband, Todd, of Winfield and Lisa Walcott of Winfield; two brothers: Robert Gifford and Brian Gifford, both of Texas; one sister-in-law, Diane Gifford of Winfield; her Godchildren: Star Ingrassia of Winfield and Cole Ingrassia of O’Fallon; her former husband, Michael Pyle of Bourbon, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
