Obituary of Imagene Watson

Funeral Services for Imagene “Jean” Watson of Moscow Mills, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Roger Alford will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Watson, Kip Watson, Ryan Short, Gavin Glimka, Pete Wallace, Roger Putney and Landon Glimka. Jean, 83, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 21, 2025 at her home. Born July 11, 1942 in Hayti, MO, she was the daughter of Sterling and Irabelle Haslip Slavings. Jean was united in marriage on February 23, 1960 in Haywood, MO to Jerry Donald Watson. This union was blessed with four children: Joe, Jeff, Jilicia and Joy. She was a loving homemaker. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Irabelle Slavings; eleven siblings; one daughter, Jilicia Watson; one son, Joe Bluestone, who died on June 7, 2016; her son-in-law, Dionisio Glimka, who died on April 26, 2017; and her beloved husband of 54 years, Jerry Watson, who died on April 14, 2014. Survivors include two children: Jeff Watson and his wife, Lori, of Troy, MO and Joy Glimka-Short and her husband, Ryan Short, of Moscow Mills; and six grandchildren: Gavin, Kip, Madeline, Landon, Mackenzie and Jessie. Jean also leaves one brother, Daniel Slavings and his wife, Linda, of Oklahoma; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
