Obituary of Clarence Eugene Anderson, Jr.

Funeral Services for Clarence Eugene Anderson, Jr. of St. Charles, MO will be at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Larry Gallaher of Asbury Chapel near Foley, MO will officiate. Eugene, 65, passed away Friday morning, December 19, 2025 at his home. Born August 24, 1960 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Clarence Eugene and Gwenlyn Ivon Keeney Anderson, Sr. Eugene owned Andy’s Country Store in Winfield. He also was a self-employed Heavy Equipment Operator. Eugene enjoyed working on cars and heavy equipment. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Gwendlyn Anderson, Sr.; one stepson, Travis McClain; one grandson, Steven Gress; and one brother-in-law, John Monk. Survivors include his children: Gena Schmitt and her husband, Robert, of Troy, MO, Ashley Howard and her husband, Brett, of Moscow Mills, MO, Megan Anderson of Foley, MO, Tansi Heinze of St. Louis, MO, and Malisa Gress and her husband, Nick, of Winfield; eighteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Eugene also leaves four brothers: Mike Anderson of Illinois, Larry Anderson and his wife, Darla, of Illinois, Gregg Ripperden of St. Charles and Dennis Anderson of St. Charles; and one sister, Debbie Woolsey of St. Louis City, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of the Service at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
