Obituary of Dawson James Goodman

Visitation for Dawson James Goodman of Old Monroe, MO will be from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Dawson, 23, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at his home. Born May 17, 2002 in St. Peters, MO, he was the son of Steve Goodman and Laura Pund Goodman. Dawson was a 2020 graduate of Winfield High School. He was employed as the IT Coordinator for Craftsman Utility Trailer. Dawson lived life with joy and passion as an avid gamer, a music enthusiast, and a devoted cat lover. Among his greatest treasures was his beloved feline daughter, Peaches, who brought endless happiness and laughter to his days. Dawson’s spirit was vibrant, his heart full of love, and his presence a gift to all who knew him. Dawson was preceded in death by his grandparents: Kenneth J. Pund, Sr., Sandy Harris and Ron Goodman; and his great-grandparents, Eddie and Gloria Taylor. Survivors include his parents: Laura Goodman of Old Monroe and Steve Goodman and his wife, Jennifer, of Foley, MO; his sister, Maegan Lane and her husband, Mike, of O’Fallon, MO; and his brother, Devin Goodman and his wife, Korrine, of Winfield. Dawson also leaves his grandparents: Dottie and Jerry White of Cuba, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, six beautiful nieces, other relatives and many, many friends, all of which he loved dearly. Memorials may be made to Stack Up (a nonprofit supporting mental health for Veterans through gaming.
