Obituary of Arthur "Jack" Ivy
Funeral Services for Arthur Jackson “Jack” Ivy of Elsberry, MO will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home. Rev. Bennie Blunt will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Collins, Steve Gray, Danny Reed, Danny Kinsler, Darrel Painter and Denis Reed.
Jack, 80, was born on January 7, 1945 in Neelyville, MO, the son of Allen and Beulah Louise Blue Ivy. He passed away Monday afternoon, December 1, 2025 at his home. Jack served his country in the United States Army National Guard. Jack was united in marriage on February 11, 1967 in East St. Louis, IL to Linda Gale Allen. This union was blessed with three children: Glenda, Brenda and Jeff. Jack worked as a sheet metal and riveter for McDonald Douglas Aircraft, retiring February 27, 1998 after nearly 35 years of employment. He later worked as a laborer for Collins Construction. Jack was a member of American Legion Post #226 in Elsberry and IAMAW District #9 in Bridgeton, MO.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Ivy and Beulah Louise Ivy; and one grandson, James Ray Roberts.
Survivors include beloved wife of 58 years, Linda Ivy of Elsberry; their children: Glenda Vitro of Wentzville, MO, Brenda Vitro and her fiancé, Randy Lentz, of Elsberry, and Jeff Ivy of Elsberry; and eight grandchildren: Alexander Mattese Vitro, Colin Jackson Vitro, Mason Dominic Vitro, Jeffery James Whiston, Abigail Jean Lovelace, Emma Langston, Reilly Langston and Mandy Moore. Jack also leaves his sister, Kathy Brannum and her husband, Jim, of Walnut Ridge, AR; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to Smith Chapel (or) God’s House of Ministry in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
