Obituary of Bette Jean Siemsen

Memorial Services for Bette Jean Siemsen of Foley, MO will be at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Mike Ryan of Moscow Mills, MO will officiate. Inurnment will be in Laurel Hills Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Bette, 84, passed away Friday afternoon, November 14, 2025 at her home. Born July 11, 1941 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Thatcher Edwin and Mildred Moseley. Bette attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta PI Sorority. She was united in marriage on April 22, 1961 in Florissant, MO to Richard H. Siemsen. This union was blessed with four children: Mark, Tina, Beth and Steven. Bette worked as the receptionist for Florissant Animal Hospital, retiring in 2008. She loved animals of all kinds, always surrounding herself with dogs, cats and horses. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Thatcher Edwin and Mildred Moseley. Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Richard Siemsen of Foley; their children: Mark Siemsen of Virginia, Tina Siemsen of Foley and Beth Robertson and her husband, Randy, of Pennsylvania and Steven Siemsen and his wife, Amy, of St. Peters, MO; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Bette also leaves one sister, Gail Manizza of Hartford, CT; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until time of the Service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
