Obituary of Mary Agnes Mennemeyer
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Agnes Mennemeyer of Old Monroe, MO will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Old Monroe. Father Michael Lampe and Deacon Neal Westhoff will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Bostic, Zach Price, Tyler Richterkessing, Ryan Richterkessing, Darin Bals and Gary Bals.
Mary, 87, passed away Friday morning, November 14, 2025 at her home near Old Monroe. Born December 5, 1937 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Clara Bernice Twellman, Haddock. Mary was united in marriage on September 6, 1958 at Sacred Heart Church in Troy, MO to Martin Frank Mennemeyer. This union was blessed with six children, Chris, Debbie, Diane, Ed, Laurie and Larry. Mary was employed for many years as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Old Monroe, retiring in 2001. She was a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Ladies’ Sodality. She was also a proud and loving farm wife, volunteered for local hospice and through the years, donated over ten gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. Mary and Marty cherished their time traveling with friends, and Mary enjoyed playing Euchre, Bunco, Pinochle and Sequence. She gave swimming lessons to many area children. Mary loved being outdoors mowing the grass, tending her flowers and being in the sun near the pool.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bernice Haddock; one brother, Joe Haddock, Jr.; one sister, Delores Wilmes and her husband, Anthony; and one sister-in-law, Barb Haddock.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 67 years, Marty Mennemeyer of Old Monroe; six children: Chris Mennemeyer and his wife, Darla of Troy, Debbie Bostic and her husband, Steve of New Melle, MO, Diane Price of Old Monroe, Ed Mennemeyer and his wife, Kris, of Old Monroe, Laurie Richterkessing and her husband, Kevin, of Old Monroe and Larry Mennemeyer of Old Monroe; sixteen grandchildren: Amanda Fisher, Amber Carden, Stephen Bostic, Jessica Bostic, Sarah Finder, Zachary Price, Erin Mennemeyer, Logan Dalton, Kamryn Mennemeyer, Stefanie Crane, Ally Augedahl, Tyler Richterkessing, Ryan Richterkessing, Tim Lavy, Josh Lavy and Marla Jones; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mary also leaves two brothers: Donald Haddock and his wife, Karla, of Columbia, MO, and Kenneth Haddock of Wentzville, MO; one sister, Marjorie Wilmes and her husband, Urban, of Josephville, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. In leu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
