Danny, 76, passed away Thursday morning, November 6, 2025 at his home. Born March 1, 1949 in Winfield, he was the son of Dona Lou Broyles. A lifelong resident of Winfield, Danny attended Winfield High School. He later worked as a driver for Mid-American Coaches for 40 years, retiring in January 2024. Danny had a passion for vintage corvettes, including the 1967, 1968, 1971, 1975 and 1994 he owned over the years. He also was proud of his 1949 DeSoto and 1956 Cushman Eagle Motorcycle. Danny loved spending time with family and friends. He could always be found wearing his favorite cowboy boots. Danny and Barb had big dreams of traveling the country in the 1949 DeSoto while pulling the 1967 Mallard Trailer.
Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Dona Lou Broyles Sanders; his stepfather who raised him, Perry Thomas Sanders; one sister, Judy Lindsey in 2012; his nephew, Alan Park in 2021; and his son, Shane Broyles in 2009.
Survivors include his beloved longtime companion, Barbara Wurtz of Winfield; three children: Heather Ann Renard of Springfield, IL, Amanda Joellyn Broyles, also of Springfield, and Thomas Rufe Broyles and his wife, Julie, of St. Charles, MO; eight grandchildren: Beau Broyles, Bryce Broyles, Conner Renard, Chloe Renard, Dylan Walters, Jaxson Broyles, Riley Bogert and Skylar Bogert; and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Mae Judd.
