Obituary of Edward Charles Carson

Edward Charles Carson, 71, of Winfield, MO passed away Monday morning, September 29, 2025 at his home. Born December 28, 1953 in Fresno, CA, he was the son of Paul L. and Joeanna Carson. Ed was united in marriage on February 14, 1981 in St. Charles, MO to Kathy Thro. This union was blessed with two children: Rob and Lindsay. Ed worked as the lumber yard manager for Forest Products Supply Co., retiring in July 2018. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Joeanna Carson; and one brother, Stacey Carson. Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Kathy Carson of Winfield; their children: Rob Carson and his wife, Kendra, of Winfield and Lindsay Carson and her significant other, James French, of Winfield; and four grandchildren: Austin Carson, Maison Coffey, Chloe Carson and Miles Carson. Ed also leaves sister, Valorrey Heitman and her husband, Tim, of Elsberry, MO; one brother, Paul Carson of Maryland Heights, MO; one sister-in-law, Pam Carson of Foley, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ed loved to fish, hunt, spend time in his garage, and watch John Wayne movies. Ed also loved to spend time with his beloved grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
