Obituary of Bonnie Jo Kindred

Funeral Services for Bonnie Jo Kindred of Elsberry, MO will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Elsberry First Christian Church in Elsberry. Rev. Kris Hagemeier, church pastor, will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Hailey, Abel Trevino, Eric Graham, Fred Hagemeier, Mike Hartley and Danny VomBey. Inurnment will be at a later date in Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry. Bonnie, 76, was born on September 27, 1948 in Troy, MO, the daughter of Herman Frederick “Huck” and Esther Mae Watson Schuster. She passed away Sunday evening, September 7, 2025 at her home. Bonnie was a 1966 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on April 27, 1975 in Elsberry to Robert L. Kindred, Jr. Their home was blessed with two children: Aron Brant and Brandy Jo. Bonnie worked as the manager for Abel’s Quik Shop, retiring in 2005. She was an animal lover, especially birds. Bonnie and Bob enjoyed dancing together. She was a member of the DOM Club. Bonnie was a longtime member of the Elsberry First Christian Church where she served as Deacon. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Huck and Esther Schuster. Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, Bob Kindred of Elsberry; their children: Brant Kindred and his wife, Sarah, of Godfrey, IL and Brandy Kindred of Arnold, MO; three grandchildren: Domonick Peters and his wife, Abby, of Winfield, MO, Colin Hoef of Glen Carbon, IL and Braylee Kindred of Arnold; and two great-grandchildren: Oliver and Theo. Bonnie also leaves other relatives and many, many friends and church family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at the Elsberry First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the Elsberry First Christian Church in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
