Obituary of Georgia L. Baker McClelland

A Celebration of Life for Georgia Larine Baker McClelland of Elsberry, MO will be held at a later date. Georgia, 72, was born on February 25, 1953 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Dovie Lorrine Vaughn-Traw. She was united in marriage on December 16, 1972 in Troy, MO to Ronald James “Jimmy” Baker, Jr. She worked as a n LPN for Lincoln County Memorial Hospital until 2008. She was a member of the 45th Judicial Foundation Board. Georgia was later married again on April 15, 2016 in the New Hope Community near Elsberry to Steve McClelland. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, once of Elsberry; one stillborn brother, Allen Traw on July 2, 1965; nieces and nephews: Cameron and Elizabeth Heinold on January 18, 2006, Tallinn and Constance Kalich on January 18, 2006, and Dustin Hollingsworth on February 16, 2023; and her beloved husband, Jimmy Baker, who died on September 13, 2014. Survivors include her husband, Steve McClelland of Manchester, MO; two sisters: Cynthia Parker of Troy, MO and Lydia Baker and her husband, Sid, of Elsberry; three brothers: Lawrence Traw and his wife, Karen, of Panama, Danny Traw and his wife, Andrea, of New Truxton, MO, and George Buckley and his wife, Stephanie, of Texas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
