Private Graveside Services for Donald E. Bothe of Old Monroe, MO were held in St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery near Old Monroe. Donald, 83, passed away Tuesday evening, August 5, 2025 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born December 11, 1941 in Old Monroe was the son of Albert Henry and Marie Catherine Dickbernd Bothe. Don was a 1960 graduate of Winfield High School, and a 1962 graduate of Ranken Technical College. Don served his country in the United States Army from September 20, 1966 until his honorable discharge on September 14, 1968. He worked as a cartographer for Surdex Corporation, retiring in 1993. He was a State Member of the American Legion. Don was a longtime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marie Bothe; one brother, Kenneth Bothe; two dear cousins, Ruth Green and Gladys Bothe; and his son, Jason Bothe in 2021. Survivors include his grandchildren: Christopher “C.J.” Bothe of Moberly, MO and Danielle Bothe of Spring Hill, TN; and three great-grandchildren: Adalynne, Charlotte and William. Don also leaves his cousins: David Dickbernd, Nancy Bothe and Cathy Bothe; his dear friend, Gary Dickherber of Old Monroe; other relatives and friends.
