Obituary of Gerald Joseph Hemmer

Gerald Joseph Hemmer, 84, of Winfield, MO passed away Wednesday night, July 16, 2025 at SSM St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born June 29, 1941 in Old Monroe, MO, he was one of nine children born to Joseph Francis and Elizabeth Marling Hemmer. Gerald was a graduate of Winfield High School. He was united in marriage on March 18, 1961 to Cinda Louise “Cindy” Argent. This union was blessed with three children. Gerald worked as an ironworker for Big Boy Steel for 36 years. He was a loving husband and father; and a man of strength and integrity. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Hemmer; and many friends. Survivors include his beloved wife, Cindy Hemmer of Winfield; three children; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Services were private.
