Obituary of Gregory William Dietrich

Funeral Services for Gregory William Dietrich of Elsberry, MO will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Laura Taylor, pastor of Elsberry United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Aidan Miller, Richard Barber, Nathan Miller, Darren Dietrich, Dylan Williams and Parker Williams. Greg, 70, was born on August 12, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, the oldest of six children born to Alvin Arthur and Lorraine Rosemary Blaske Dietrich. He passed away late Saturday night, July 12, 2025 at his home near Elsberry. Greg was a 1972 graduate of Lutheran North High School, and earned an Associate’s Degree from Florissant Valley Junior College. He was employed for several years as a computer tech for General American Life Insurance Co. and later worked for MetLife Insurance Co. in St. Louis. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lorraine Dietrich. Survivors include his siblings: Robert Dietrich and his wife, Tedi, of Louisville, KY, John Dietrich and his wife, Diane, of Elsberry, Tom Dietrich and his wife, Angela, of Elsberry, James Dietrich and his wife, Tammy, of St. Louis, and Susan Miller and her husband, Scott, of Elsberry; and was loved by several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
