Jackie,Kenny, Mary, Adam, Crystal, Clayton,Jen, Marc, Aime and all the kids,
We are so-so sorry & sad in the passing of Ken. We are going to miss him so much.
He was a very friendly, kind, sweet man. He usually always had a joke for us, but before he told us the joke he would say, " It's a little bit corney". He would tell the joke and sometimes it was funny, but sometmes it was corney, but we would all laugh anyway.
We always knew when Ken was starting up his "BELOVED SNAPPER". I've never known a man that loved cutting grass & his snapper tractor like he did. He always made their lawn look beautiful and he was very proud of it, too.
He always was on the lookout for this black rat snake that he & I both swore that creepy thing knew when we would be outside. It never could be just sunning itself in the road, oh no !!! Ken & I both thought the same thing, that creepy snake was just waiting for us so it could scare the 'kibbles' out of both of us.
We knew they were good snakes...creepy but good. We both agreed one day that a snake should have a horn on it so when it was coming out & about if it blew it's horn it wouldn't scare us so much.
If I saw that blasted snake I would call up Jackie & tell her Mr. Blackie snake was out & about, to tell Ken.
Ken had a sweet tooth like most men. The last 30 years Jackie & I would bake all kinds of goodies. We always liked to try new recipes. The last recipe I made a blueberry muffin bread. We took some to Ken & Jackie before one of our weekly card games. Ken loved that recipe, so much I would make him his own loaf.. He really enjoyed it.
Anything for such a nice man.
Were so going to miss him. We will continue to play our 3-13 card game, because Bob & I know he would want Jackie to continue playing cards with us.
Love, Bob & Pam Ellstrom
