Obituary of Ronald G. Tiller, Sr.

Funeral Services for Ronald Gene “PeeWee” Tiller, Sr. of Winfield, MO will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Scott Groshong, pastor of Corinth Christian Church near Foley, MO will officiate with burial in Corinth Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle, Tyler, Louie, Jr., Louie III, Trent and Cole. PeeWee, 86, passed away Wednesday night, June 11, 2025 at Villages of St. Peters in St. Peters, MO. Born September 23, 1938 in Winfield, he was the son of Reuben D. and Iva Lorraine Kelly Tiller. PeeWee was a 1956 graduate of Winfield High School. He was united in marriage on November 28, 1959 in St. Charles, MO to Shirley Marilyn Kress. This union was blessed with five children: Marsha, Ronald, Jr., David, Patrick and Shawn. PeeWee worked as a parts expeditor for McDonnell Douglas (later Boeing), until his retirement in 1994, and then for Kmart in his retirement years. PeeWee is proudly displayed on the Winfield High School Wall of Fame and a member of the Winfield Booster Club. He enjoyed playing softball. PeeWee was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Iva Tiller; two brothers: Robert Tiller and Nelson Tiller; one grandson, Cory Tiller; and his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Shirley Tiller, who died on August 1, 2009. Survivors include his children: Marsha Rothermich and her husband, Rick, of Troy, MO, Ronald Tiller, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Winfield, David Tiller of Winfield, Patrick Tiller and his wife, Shannon, of Winfield, and Shawn Tiller of Troy; eleven grandchildren: Diana and her husband, Lou, Kyle, Tyler and his wife, Karen, Jessica and her fiancé, Justin, Kayla, Faith, Paige, Zack and his wife, Stacey, Trent, Cole and Alyssa; and fourteen great-grandchildren: Louie, Shea, Oliver, Nolan, Jenna, Leah, Aubree, Leighon, John, Dean, Preston, Everett, Katelyn and Raelynn. PeeWee also leaves one brother, Dale Tiller and his wife, Ruth, of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
