Obituary of Charles Joseph Schroeder

Graveside Services for Charles Joseph Schroder of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Old Monroe, MO will be at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery near St. Louis, MO. Charles, 88, passed away Wednesday night, June 11, 2025 at St. Sophia Health and Rehabilitation Center in Florissant, MO. Born July 13, 1936 in Clayton, MO, he was the son of Sidney Virgil and Virginia Mable Holmes Schroeder. Charles served his country in the United States Air Force from August 16, 1954 until his honorable discharge on May 16, 1958. He worked as a security guard for many years. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Virginia Schroeder; and siblings: Anita Buehrig, Linda Shanahan, David Schroeder, Margaret Feldhaus, Donald Schroeder and Ronald Schroeder. Survivors include three siblings: Mary Hickman of Tennessee, Anthony Schroeder of Nebraska and Debbie Crawford of St. Louis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
