Obituary of Samantha Hope Dickson

Funeral Services for Samantha Hope Dickson of Troy, MO will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Larry Gallaher, pastor of Asbury Chapel near Foley, MO will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Samantha, 66, passed away late Tuesday night, June 10, 2025 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born September 22, 1958 in National City, CA, she was the daughter of Billy Ulysses and Marjorie Blanche Newcomb Dickson. Samantha worked for Walmart as the “shopper of people.” Samantha was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Marjorie Dickson. Survivors include two sons: Jesse Dickson of Moscow Mills, MO and James Dickson and his companion, Brittany Lawrence of Troy; and six grandchildren: James, Rochelle, Jonathan, Jason, Conner and Paige. Samantha also leaves one brother, Harold Fischer of California; one sister, Terri Gussman of California; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Services at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
