Obituary of Norma Irene Watson

Funeral Services for Norma Irene Watson of Moscow Mills, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Pastor Gus Vega, pastor of Harvester Christian Church in Troy, MO will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Norma, 88, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at her home. Born June 28, 1936 in Hart, MI, she was the daughter of William Elijah and Lula Chloe Jefferies Gonser. She was a graduate of Whitehall Michigan High School. Norma worked for 26 years in the housekeeping industry, retiring in 2012. She was a member of Moscow Mills United Methodist Church. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lula Gonser; one son, Michael Watson in 1991; one granddaughter, Jennifer Watson on November 13, 1980; four sisters: Marian, Dorothy, Joanie and Lillian. Survivors include one son, Donald Watson and his wife, Elaine, of Winfield; four grandchildren: Chris Watson and his wife, Chloe, of Weldon Spring, MO, Melissa Kahle and her husband, Charlie, of Warrenton, MO, Kristen Harris and her husband, Shelby, of Wentzville, MO and Angela Luetkenhaus and her husband, Chantz, of Moscow Mills; and eight great-grandchildren. Norma also leaves her former husband, Gilbert Watson of Cahokia Heights, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
