Obituary of Larry Dean King

Funeral Services for Larry Dean King of O’Fallon, MO will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Rev. Brandon Bufford, Pastor of Lighthouse Church in O’Fallon, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Zotta, Bryce King, Travis King, Wade King, Timmy King, Stephen King and Ronnie King. Larry, 67, passed away Wednesday evening, May 7, 2025 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born April 9, 1958 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Derrell and Violet Ruth Jackson King. He was united in marriage on August 25, 1977 in St. Louis to Darlene Ethel King. This union was blessed with one son, Joseph Thomas. Larry worked as a gravedigger for Zion Cemetery in St. Louis. He enjoyed fishing and playing guitar. Larry also was a classic rock fan. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Derrell and Violet King; his son, Joseph King in June 2009; three brothers: Don King, Jimmie King and Johnny King; and three sisters: Bonnie King, Connie King and Rita Roettjer. Survivors include his beloved wife, Darlene King of O’Fallon; one brother, Ronnie King of Winfield; one sister, Sharon King of Elsberry, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
