Obituary of Jerin Paul Holder

Funeral Services for Jerin Paul Holder of Winfield, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Greg Dickerman, pastor of Heritage Church in Granite City, IL will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Jerin, 48, passed away Wednesday evening, April 30, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born June 5, 1976 in Granite City, he was the son of Wallace Monroe Holder and Gail Ellen Spray Eaker. Jerin was a graduate of Winfield High School and ITT Technical Institute with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Jerin was united in marriage on April 15, 2000 in St. Peters, MO to Rebecca Marie “Becky” Taylor. This union was blessed with two daughters: Katelyn and Megan. Jerin worked in the IT department for Edward Jones, but his most important job was a stay at home dad. Jerin was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Eaker; his stepmother, Rebecca Jean Holder; and one sister-in-law, Belinda Holder. Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Becky Holder of Winfield; and their daughters: Katelyn and Megan. Jerin also leaves his father, Wallace Holder of Chicago, IL; his siblings: Christa Willaredt and her husband, Alan, of Granite City, Greg Holder and his wife, Jennifer, of O’Fallon, MO, Matthew Holder and his wife, Shannon, of Chicago, and Steven Holder and his wife, Callie, of Chicago; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and James R. Taylor of Foley, MO; one brother-in-law, James M. Taylor of Winfield; several nieces, nephews, great-nephews, a great-niece on the way, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
