Obituary of Michael John Burns

Graveside Services for Michael John Burns of Moscow Mills, MO will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes will officiate. Michael, 65, passed away Friday morning, April 18, 2025. Born January 2, 1960 in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of Robert and Marie Graham Burns. Michael worked as an over the road truck driver. He can best be described as a man of few words. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marie Burns. Survivors include his daughters: Laura Gililland and her husband, Matthew, and Jennifer Walsh and her husband, Patrick; and three grandchildren: Xander, Oliver and Emerson. Michael also leaves four siblings: Robert Burns, Graham Burns, Joseph Burns and Lorraine Munyon; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
