Obituary of Albin Alfred "Bud" Timm
Visitation for Albin Alfred “Bud” Timm of Old Monroe, MO will be held from 6:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO. Pastor James Witt will officiate. Visitation will again be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, MN. Pastor Steve Waldschmidt will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Zumbrota Cemetery in Zumbrota, MN. Serving as pallbearers will be Albin Timm III, Jacob Timm, Cory Timm, Philip Heydmann, Molly Torkelson, Nikki Poetting, Bruce Heydmann and Dennis Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be Asher Timm, Declan Timm, Beau Timm, Addisyn Timm, Maverick Timm, Eleanor Timm, Emerson Timm, Ella Heydmann, Hunter Heydmann, Tatiana Torkelson, Cheyana Torkelson, Ava Torkelson, Bill Colbert, Lyn Luck and Ron Oakley.
Bud, 92, passed away Thursday evening, April 17, 2025 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Born April 27, 1932 in Oronoco, MN, he was the son of Walter and Amelia King Timm. Bud was united in marriage on April 17, 1950 in Mazeppa, MN to Alice Marion Poncelet. This union was blessed with five children: Jerry, Albin, Jr., Judy, Cherie and Vickie. Bud served his country in the United States Army from January 16, 1951 until he was honorably discharged on September 22, 1952. Bud farmed for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Amelia Timm; one daughter, Judy Timm; one daughter-in-law, Patti Timm; one brother, Harry Timm; one sister, Ruby Wilson and her husband, Chuck; one grandchild, Adam Timm; and one great-grandchild, Lincoln Timm.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 75 years, Alice Timm of Old Monroe; their children: Jerry Timm, Albin, Jr. and his wife, Debra, Cherie Heydmann and her husband, Bruce, and Vickie Timm and her significant other, Dennis Hines; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Bud also leaves four sisters-in-law: Sharon Timm, Arlene Sperry, Charlotte Neff and Betty Smith; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
