Obituary of Darold Anthony Crumley

Funeral Services for Darold Anthony Crumley of Elsberry, MO, formerly of Winfield, MO will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Rev. Larry Gallaher, pastor of Asbury Chapel near Foley, MO will officiate. Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Darold, 95, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Elsberry Health Care Center in Elsberry, MO. Born February 26, 1930 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Roy A. and Doris Crumley. Darold attended Ritenour High School in St. Louis. He served his country in the United States Navy from July 22, 1947 until he was honorably discharged on July 21, 1950. Darold was united in marriage on September 21, 1963 in St. Charles, MO to Wanda Lee Christy. He was employed as a flight inspector for McDonnell Aircraft, retiring on August 31, 1990. He was a member of IAM Local #837 in St. Louis and American Legion Post #312 in St. Charles, MO. Darold was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Doris Crumley; his sister, Maudell Wilkinson; one stepdaughter, Sharon Patterson; and his beloved wife, Wanda Crumley, who died on October 23, 2017. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Karen Spaulding of St. Charles. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
