Obituary of Jose Allen Ramirez, Jr.

Jose “Joe” Allen Ramirez, Jr., a longtime resident of Old Monroe, MO, 75, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Sunterra Springs in Dardenne Prairie, MO. He was born August 15, 1949, in Oakland, CA, the son of Jose Adam and Lilian Gladys Rice Ramirez. Joe graduated from James Logan High School in Union City, CA. He worked as an autoworker for General Motors, retiring in 1997. Joe was united in marriage to Pamela Kay Preston on July 1, 2000, in Clarksville, MO. He enjoyed riding his Harley and bass fishing. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Lilian Ramirez; his sister, Rita Hunter; and his beloved wife of nearly 18 years, Pamela Ramirez, who died on May 26, 2018. Survivors include his sons, Jose Ramirez III and Jason Ramirez, and three grandchildren, Anthony, Whitney, and Mariah. Joe also leaves two sisters, Juanita Everts of San Tan Valley, AZ, and Veronica Ilharreguy of Tracy, CA; one brother, David Ramirez and his wife, Tanya, of Foley, MO; his dear friends: Marilyn Thomas of Belfair, WA, and Bina Amaral of O’Fallon, MO; and many loving relatives and friends.
