Obituary of John Joseph Henderson

John Joseph Henderson, 84, of Elsberry, MO passed away Thursday evening, February 6, 2025 at his home. Born September 20, 1940 in Hannibal, MO, he was the son of Ted Malcom and Dorothy Maurine Anderson Henderson. John was united in marriage on March 10, 1966 in Clarksville, MO to Virginia Mae Swarnes. This union was blessed with one daughter, Sherri. John worked as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas. He enjoyed mountain climbing, hunting, fly tying and was an avid fisherman. John loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Dorothy Henderson; and his beloved wife Virginia, who died January 12, 2025. Survivors include his daughter, Sherri Henderson of Elsberry; and one grandson, Jess Henderson and his wife, Ashley. John also leaves one brother, Charles Henderson and his wife, Kandi, of Kansas City, MO; other relatives and friends. There are no services planned.
