Obituary of Judith Ellen Dwiggins

Graveside Services for Judith Ellen Dwiggins of Troy, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Pam Patten of O’Fallon, MO will officiate. Judy, 73, passed away Wednesday afternoon January 29, 2025 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born October 13, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Johnnie Eugene and Charmian Edna “Charm” Blaetterman Lamb, Sr. She was united in marriage on August 22, 1969 in Elsberry to Robert Lee Dwiggins. This union was blessed with two daughters: Lacy and Jaime. Judy cherished being a mom, loving and caring for her daughters and their friends. She enjoyed playing golf and traveling with their golf buddies, bowling in leagues, RV traveling, and exploring on their motorcycle. She loved watching her grandkids with their various activities. In the past six months, she treasured time with her great grandbaby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Charm Lamb, Sr., her brother, Johnnie Lamb, Jr.; one nephew, Richie Lamb; and her beloved husband of 37 years, Bob Dwiggins, who died on March 23, 2007. Survivors include two daughters: Lacy Gambill and her husband, Todd, of Troy and Jaime Reed and her husband, Joe, of Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren: Nathan Reed, Alex Gambill, Luke Gambill, Evan Gambill and Anna Gambill; and one great-granddaughter, Aurora Reed. Judy also leaves her sister, Madelyn Helfer (Tom) of Elsberry; her sister-in-law, Karen Lamb of Elsberry; best friend, Chrissy King; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorials may be made to The Wonder League in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South 5th Street, Elsberry, MO 63343. The Wonder League is a local organization providing a free, safe and organized sports league for persons with mental and/or physical challenges where every player participates, every player scores and every player wins.
