Obituary of Rebecca Jean Spies Timms

Graveside Services for Rebecca Jean Spies Timms of Elsberry, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Rev. Charles Moore will officiate. Mrs. Timms, 40, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2020 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born May 10, 1980 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of Edward Eugene and Jane C. Thurmond Spies. Rebecca was a graduate of Elsberry High School and Sanford Brown College. She was a loving homemaker. Rebecca was preceded in death by two brothers: Rick and Stephen Spies. Survivors include her son, Stephen Daniel Timms of Elsberry; and her parents: Gene and Jane Spies of Elsberry. Rebecca also leaves three brothers: Michael Spies and his wife, Virginia, of Elsberry, Mark Spies of Foley, MO and Caleb Spies of Elsberry; one sister, Kerry Banaszek of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
