Obituary of Judith Ann Holland

Funeral Services for Judith Ann “Judy” Holland of Elsberry, MO will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Elsberry First Christian Church. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate. Graveside Services will be private for the family at the Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Holland, Bronson Holland, Allen Holland, Wayne Holland, Phil Sarff, April Sarff and Tracy Holland. Mrs. Holland, 63, passed away late Saturday night, June 27, 2020 at her home near Elsberry. Born March 18, 1957 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of J.W. and Anna Taylor Haupt. Judy was a 1976 graduate of Ritenour High School. She was united in marriage on December 9, 1978 in St. Louis to Gene Allen Holland II. This union was blessed with six children: April, Robert, Bronson, Tracy, Gene Allen III and Wayne. Judy was a longtime Elsberry resident whom worked for many years as the manager of the local convenient store as well as the last 15 years as Clubhouse Manager for Sun Valley Golf Course. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Anna Haupt; and her beloved husband of 40 years, Gene Holland II, who died January 10, 2019. Survivors include her children: April Sarff and her husband, Philip, of Columbia, MO, Robert Holland and his wife, Amanda, of Elsberry, Bronson Holland and his wife, Lauren, of Elsberry, Tracy Holland of Elsberry, Gene Allen Holland, III of Winfield, and Wayne Holland of Elsberry; and nine grandchildren: Hailey and Alivia Sarff, Tanner, Nolan and Bryce Holland, Mason, Alexis and Cru Holland and Kemper Holland. Judy also leaves her brother, Bill Haupt and his wife, Debbie, of Owensville, MO; her mother-in-law, Irene Holland of O’Fallon, MO; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Elsberry First Christian Church.
