Obituary of Forrest Taylor Lilley

Memorial Services for Forrest Taylor Lilley of Elsberry, MO will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry.  Rev. John Zellmer, church pastor, will officiate.

Mr. Lilley, 91, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 2, 2017 at the Elsberry Health Care Center.  Born July 18, 1926 in Elsberry, he was the son of John Thomas and Ethel Mae Weeks Lilley.  Forrest was a graduate of Elsberry High School.  He served his country in the United States Army from February 27, 1945 until he was honorably discharged on December 13, 1946.  He was united in marriage on December 30, 1989 in Quincy, IL to Arlene Seckman.  Forest was a farmer and carpenter and member of the National Farmers Organization.  He was a lifelong member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Lilley.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Lilley of Quincy; two sons: Stephen Lilley and his wife, Rebecca, of Elsberry and Michael Lilley and his wife, Darcy, of Lebanon, IL; one daughter, Linda Curtis and her husband, Tracey, of Livingston, IL; one step-son, David Seckman and his wife, Rebecca, of Washington DC; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Forrest also leaves many other relatives and friends.
