Obituary of Mark Anthony Harding

Funeral Services for Mark Anthony Harding of Wright City, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO.  Rev. James Calvin, pastor of Faith Tabernacle in Winona, MO, will officiate with burial in New Hope Cemetery near Elsberry.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Schuette, Everett Hurley, Mike Noris, Edis McNeil, Austin Rodgers and Bob Stevens.  Honorary pallbearers will be John Peine and Jay Brittain.

Mr. Harding, 60, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Sullivan, MO.  Born May 5, 1957 in Salem, MO, he was the son of James William and Betty Jane Busch Harding.  Mark attended the Elsberry Schools.  He served his country in the United States Army National Guard.  Mark was united in marriage on May 30, 1975 in Elsberry to Cedella Lee Thurman.  This union was blessed with two daughters: Rebecca Lee and Melissa Kaye.  Mark loved deer hunting, fishing, elk hunting and wood working.  Mark was married again on September 27, 1997 in Eolia, MO to Deborah Kaye Lucas.  He was a family man and loved spending time with his grandkids. Mark was employed as a road grader operator for the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, James Harding; two brothers: Marion Merle Harding and Michael James Harding; his first wife of nearly 21 years, Cedella Harding, who died September 21, 1996; and his second wife of 7 years, Deborah Harding, who died May 19, 2005.

Survivors include his daughters: Rebecca Lindsey and her husband, Floyd, of Perry, IL and Melissa Harding of Wright City; five grandchildren: Mark Glenn Baldwin, Kasey Nicole McGlasson, Hayley Kaye McGlasson, Alexis Lee Silvey and Isabella Grace Harding; and three step-grandchildren: Zach Lindsey, Dalton Lindsey and Braden Lindsey.  Mark also leaves his mother, Betty Harding of Elsberry; two brothers: Melcher “Mick” William Harding and his wife, Linda, of Eolia and John Mitchell Harding of Paynesville, MO; one sister, Patricia “Trish” Parsons of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Memorials may be made to the Family of Mark Harding to assist with final expenses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
