Obituary of Robert Eugene Calvin

Robert Eugene Calvin of Foley, MO (formerly of Elsberry, MO) passed away early Friday morning, July 7, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO at the age of 55.

Born January 8, 1962 in Troy, MO, he was the son of Owen Wayne and Ruth Eileen McDonald Calvin.  Raised in the Elsberry area, Robert attended the local schools.  He was employed as an over-the-road truck driver.  Robert loved hunting, fishing and collecting guns.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Owen Calvin; and grandparents: Buck and Dellma McDonald and Allen and Marge Calvin.

Survivors include his children: Josh Whitener and his wife, Laci, of Patterson, MO, Angela Borak of St. Louis and Angie Brinkman-Toland and her husband, Jeremiah, of Elsberry; and several grandchildren.  Robert also leaves his mother and step-father, Ruth and Ernie Madl of Warrenton, MO; two brothers: John VanScoyk and his wife, Patty, of Winfield, MO and Sean Calvin of Warrenton; four sisters: Tammy VanScoyk of Corinth, MS, Tracy Mueller and her husband, Joey, of Elsberry, Kimberly Jett and her husband, Allen, of Silex, MO and Crystal Madl of Warrenton; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
