Obituary of Penny Lee Houston

Funeral Services for Penny Lee Houston of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.  Gary Myers will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.  Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Doyle, Jeff Houston, Dustin Houston, Cody Houston and James Blumenberg.

Ms. Houston, 60, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, MO.  Born February 28, 1957 in East Prairie, MO, she was the daughter of Joe B. and Kathleen Couch Myers.  Penny was a loving homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Kathleen Myers; two brothers: James Elmer and Larry Joe Myers; and four sisters: Rita Myers, Barb Foster, Betty Myers and Marie Myers.

Survivors include her children: Jeff Houston and his wife, Cheryl, of New Market, TN, Julie Houston and her fiancée, Mike Doyle, of Winfield and Dustin Houston of Moscow Mills, MO; four grandchildren: Cody Carr, Trinity Houston, Chloe Houston and Alexis Doyle; and two step-grandchildren: LeLand and Nick Doyle.  Penny also leaves one brother, Gary Myers and his wife, Shirley, of Sikeston, MO; three sisters: Shirley Chance and her husband, Bob, of East Prairie, Vickie Sanders and her husband, Eddie, also of East Prairie, and Joetta Blumenberg and her husband, James, of Wright City, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to The Family of Penny Houston for the benefit of her grandchildren in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
